I’m sure you’ve all once heard of the world-famous former boyband “One Direction”, and about one of its recognized members, now a celebrated superstar. Nial James Horan is an Irish singer and songwriter. He was born on September 13, 1993, to parents Maura Gallagher and Bobby Horan in Mullingar, Ireland. 

At the age of 16, he auditioned for the television show The X Factor and was accepted into the following rounds. He entered the finals as a group with fellow singers Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne; who were the original members to form One Direction in later years, after winning third place in the show. Their first album, “Up All Night”, became a bestseller in the UK (2011) and the USA (2012). Their albums Take me home, Midnight Memories, and Four debuted atop the Billboard 200 charts.

Not long after releasing Made in the AM; in November of 2015, Horan, Payne, Styles, and Tomlinson split from the band indefinitely. Though this was not the end of Niall’s career. As he proceeded to pursue a soloist practice. Releasing his albums Flicker, Heartbreak Weather, and The Show. It is safe to say that Horan’s years in the industry are far from over, as he continues to succeed; and is loved and admired worldwide.
