 James Vicent McMorrow

James Vicent McMorrow is a forty-year-old billion-streaming, platinum-selling singer-songwriter

from Dublin Ireland. 

A fact about him is that he was born in 1983 and his music is “Indie folk”!

He began his musical life when he was a teen! Initially a drummer, he was drawn to the harsh

sounds of Glassjaw. He mellowed some while he was at school, where he discovered the more

acoustic-oriented sounds of Sufjan Stevens. Then, he picked up the guitar at 19 and began

writing songs.

He decided to record an album, moving into a small house on

Ireland’s coastline and holding up his guitar, a keyboard, a microphone, a computer, and several other 

instruments. This become his first album “Early in the Morning” which was greeted

with very favorable reviews, a top chart sport, a Choice Music nomination, platinum sales, and 

appearances at Royal Festival Hall!

I admire him because of his successful musical life and his great

songs!
