Bad Bunny was born as Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio in San

Juan, Puerto Rico, on March 10, 1994.

Although he never took formal music classes or studied any

instrument, he is a singer, songwriter, and creator of his own

songs.

Since he was little, he knew that he wanted to dedicate himself to

music, so he sang in the church choir from the ages of 5 to 13.

During high school he did some freestyle rhymes.

He started writing his songs when he was 14 years old, but it

wasn't until he turned 19 that he started uploading them to the

music streaming platform SoundCloud, at the same time he

worked as a supermarket packer (2016), that same year he

managed to capture the attention of the producer DJ Luian, who

signed him to his Hear This Music record label. His first hit, the

single Soy Peor, peaked at number 22 on the Hot Latin Songs

chart.

One of his greatest achievements is that he became the first most

listened to Spanish-speaking artist on Spotify worldwide.

I admire him because he has proven on many occasions to be

more than just a reggaeton singer, because through his singles and

albums, he has dared to do what no one else has done to date:

experiment with the rhythms and genres that he likes.
